Apple recently added a new “Documentation” web section that puts all product information for every product in one place. That way, you won’t have to search across multiple pages to find the product manuals, specifications or downloads you need, no matter which piece or hardware or software you need help with.
Find all product manuals, specs and downloads in new Apple Documentation web section
Apple makes reliable products with good support, but even so, sometimes you need to look up information, like when you try to troubleshoot a problem. Until now, you often had to drill down in a specific product section of the Apple site to find relevant information.
But now the new Documentation section — first reported on Wednesday by Japanese blog MacOtakara — lets you go to one place to find what you need, whatever the product, hardware or software.
The new section’s simple homepage lists all Apple hardware products, plus a software section, with identifying graphics. You can find everything from iPod to Vision Pro, and of course every Mac, iPad, iPhone, HomePod, etc. Smaller items are listed under Accessories. That’s where you’ll find AirTag, Magic Keyboard and much more.
Apple’s new Documentation web section notes it’s where you can find all product manuals, specifications and related downloads for each item. Underneath the list of product categories you’ll also see a search box to help find what you need.
“Choose a product or search below to view related documents and available downloads,” the Apple Documentation web section reads.
On each product page, you’ll first see all the latest products in two columns. But if you click “Show more” underneath the lefthand column, you can reveal the whole history of the product line.
That helps you find products going back many years, in some cases. Just check out the Mac section if you want to go way, way back.
